The Stephen Dent band is a well established ensemble of musicians with more than two decades of experience. Whether you crave 1980s new wave or you have a taste for the Beach Boys or other favorites of the 1970s, The Stephen Dent band will NOT let you down! We’ve covered the greater Austin area for years, delivering the best hits and favorite tunes of the past several decades to happy guests at parties, pubs, weddings, anniversary get togethers, and even children’s birthdays.

Some of our favorite bands to cover include Journey, Genesis, Duran Duran, Joan Baez, Europe, Scorpions, Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, The Ramones, Poison, Bob Marley, Styx, Quiet Riot, Rush, Warrant, Grateful Dead, Kiss, and so many others it will blow your mind!

We also play a number of American standards and other songs appropriate for more tasteful occasions and ceremonies. Some of these are songs made popular by the greats like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Tony Bennet and others. We have several skilled jazz players in our band, including jazz bass and jazz drums, so we can easily strum out the soothing sounds of a corporate party, or add a little jazz funk to any classy occasion. We have recently started recording our own music, so if you get tired of covers, we can serenade you with our new soulful sounds, creating the perfect mood for your event.

So whether you’re ready to get down and boogie or just have a nice slow dance with your new wife, The Stephen Dent Band has you covered …………. literally!!!

The Stephen Dent Band recently finished their newest album, which is a collection of original songs written entirely by members of the band. In support of their new album, the band is currently on tour at a limited number of venues in New England. The Stephen Dent Band played Greenwich, CT for the first stop on their tour, and the show was a wild success. From Greenwich, Stephen Dent will be moving on to the remainder of New England, ultimately returning home to the Austin, TX area in late September 2011 to complete their tour. Stephen Dent wishes to send their sincerest thanks to everyone who came out to the Greenwich show.
